There's good news in the monkey world today - "French rapper" (and isn't that a contradiction in terms?) Joey Starr was convicted of assault on his pet monkey. The court only fined him $9,100, though. They shoulda thrown the bum in the slammer, just for being French.
Posted by yhbc at May 30, 2002 09:16 AMhaving hung out with hip french exchange students, i have to say that french rap is the FUNNIEST THING IN THE WORLD.
Posted by: pikachu lolita on May 30, 2002 12:18 PMWe had to listen to a lot of French pop in high school. One tune in particular was like an icepick in the cerebellum: "Partenaire Particulaire" or something.
Les Jeux Sont Faits was more uplifting.
Posted by: kafkaesque on May 30, 2002 12:59 PMOne of my coworkers just walked by with what looked like a plastic handbag. He is an ex-military guy who acts like he is still in the military.
I pointed at the purse, and he explained "It's to keep my eggs in."
I left it at that.

We encourage users to post images, especially those hilarous pics of monkeys
wearing dresses or programming for Linux. But posting images that reside on someone
else's server is considered by many to be bandwidth theft. Our thoughts
on the matter, along with some solutions to the problem, can be found
here. Thanks.
