
Did the KKK actually take his baby away? I'm listening to the song (for probably, what, the 200th time in my life?) and it occurs to me that the girl wasn't kidnapped. She just left him, and he can't cope and so he's blaming the KKK. Maybe this has always been obvious to some, but it's like the scales have fallen from my eyes.

I am not into the maudlin Obit post thing, but seeing the RIPs brought me back to seeing the Ramones Mania tour in high school.
