June 24, 2002 : Non-monkey news

If you haven't been under a rock for the last three weeks, you know a little girl was abducted from her house in Salt Lake City on June 5th.

What you may not know is that, according to Fox News, SLC police are apparently investigating Father Guido Sarducci.

People have said these things about that :

Somebody tella the Pope.

I have, apparently, been under a rock for the last three weeks.

Excuse my transgression - as it's forbidden to proseltize - but I sometimes wish we were all Jewish.

Blessed are the Red Sea Pedestrians.

I guess after Handsome Boy Modeling school, there was nowhere else for him to go but down. (btw, that review is bogus, as are many of pitchfork's roasts.)

By the way, Miguel, Father Guido Sarducci is not actually a priest. He was the comedian who did an italian priest bit on Saturday Night Live in the late 70s early 80s. Now he organizes baseball retrieving dogs in McCovey Cove at Pac Bell Park.

It's really all quite simple to understand if you remember this simple code: Dogs before The Pope but not after Willie McCovey except Joe Piscopo.

You see?

Posted by: kafkaesque on June 24, 2002 06:12 PM

Oh and apropos of nothing at all: AAAAAAAAAAIIIEEE!

Posted by: kafkaesque on June 24, 2002 06:14 PM

Methinks Jenny-poo has been, um, enhancing her performance?

Bah. What's good for the goose...

Posted by: jpoulos on June 24, 2002 06:23 PM

...and other cliches...

Posted by: jpoulos on June 24, 2002 06:24 PM

She's surreal. I mean if you look at her old pictures, her jawline and forehead have changed shape. That's a rather good indicator, I'd say.

Glenn Danzig, eat your heart out.

Posted by: kafkaesque on June 24, 2002 06:26 PM

Jenny who? Who's that guy in the picture?

Posted by: eyeballkid on June 24, 2002 06:36 PM

the new Juice?

Posted by: anathema on June 24, 2002 06:55 PM

I can't stop staring at that picture. I'm absolutely freakin' mesmerized.

Posted by: anathema on June 24, 2002 07:43 PM

(btw, that review is bogus, as are many of pitchfork's roasts.)

actually that review managed to sum up my rather complex feelings about the whole affair.

i mean, really, an entire track of "he's GORGEOUS! doot doot doot. Handsome boy modeling school! doot doot doot He's gorgeous! doot doot doot."

terrible.

(of course, the del cut isn't bad, and some of the others are ok.)

An honor indeed. Welcome!

Posted by: kafkaesque on June 24, 2002 09:17 PM

cheezus h. rice, that is one scary picture. i wonder if they'd need her to do some noxzema modeling now.

Posted by: sugarfish on June 24, 2002 10:09 PM

my feelings weren't quite so complex, i loved the goofy and the chris elliot show it was based on.

welcome aboard sir.

Posted by: eyeballkid on June 24, 2002 10:09 PM

and, yes, i did just use goofy as a noun.

Posted by: eyeballkid on June 24, 2002 10:10 PM

Reminds me of the well-reported Mouse v. Mouse divorce case.

"But Mickey, why would you ever want to divorce Minnie?"

"Because she's fucking Goofy!"

Posted by: yhbc on June 24, 2002 10:14 PM

i also used to watch that damned chris eliot show as a youngin'.

Hey, Is That A Korean Sniffing Behind Me?

[Sorry about that, monkey-lovers! No, it's not the Germany-Korea game about to start. It's just I think that I've finally learned how to post an image without stealing someone else's bandwidth and urgently needed to test it show off...]

Posted by: Miguel on June 25, 2002 05:55 AM
Why not join in and say something too?

A note about posting images:

We encourage users to post images, especially those hilarous pics of monkeys wearing dresses or programming for Linux. But posting images that reside on someone else's server is considered by many to be bandwidth theft. Our thoughts on the matter, along with some solutions to the problem, can be found here. Thanks.
