July 31, 2002 : How to waste ten dollars

I'm as much a monkey-lover as the next guy (well, maybe not that one over there) *points*, but this seems a bit pricey.

People have said these things about that :

You can't possibly know how good that graphic looks when it pops up on my screen while "My Spine is the Bassline" is playing at the same time over the computer speakers.

It looks good.

hysterical. :) I think it's the same guys that do "Wadded Paper", which is really, really funny. Especially if these guys ever do make money from these ideas.

I would like to take this opportunity to offer my services to the monkey-loving community at exactly half the price of these guys.

Apparently, I didn't see the part of my job description that says that I am supposed to document the mistakes of my condescending bitch supervisor so that she has an easier time correcting them a week later.

Sorry. I've learned through experience not to post bad stuff regarding my job on my own site. I guess my mandatory overtime entry kinda violates that, but not that much.

In response to the image-linking discussion on this thread, I have moved the .GIF at the top of this thread to my own account. It's on Qwest.net, though, which is notorious for dropping out of existence now and then, so if you see a big red "X" up there that's why.

I now return you to your regularly scheduled screeching/flinging/grooming.

I used to host big stuff that I wanted to put on my blog (but not on my blog's host) on my machine at home and serve it from there. Maybe I will do that from now on.

I'll admit I've embedded images in forum threads before. But from here on in, I'm trying real hard to be the shepherd.

Why not join in and say something too?

A note about posting images:

We encourage users to post images, especially those hilarous pics of monkeys wearing dresses or programming for Linux. But posting images that reside on someone else's server is considered by many to be bandwidth theft. Our thoughts on the matter, along with some solutions to the problem, can be found here. Thanks.

In an effort to help eliminate spam (and to preserve the sanity of the 9622 Volunteer Simian Spam-Cop Brigade) all threads older than 30 days will now be closed to comments.
