Why that's an all-knowing smile plastered on my face. No, wait. It's just some barbecue sauce from last night.

Sorry for the absence. I've been in 9622-lurk mode for a long time - too busy doing other stuff (yes real-world stuff comes before monkeys sometimes - I know, I've got to get my priorities straight).

Oh, and I have trouble with wind too, so I empathize with Hat Monkey.

I totally killed all the monkeys on my very first try.

This game is easy.

Ha! I like the way the bodies of the monkeys get sloshed around with each passing wave.

Speaking of dead monkeys, one of the caualties of the flooding in Europe yesterday was Ponk, a seven year-old gorilla that drowned in his cage at Prague Zoo. Ponk rip.

That really was awful. I couldn't understand why they had to put the hippo down....

Reminded me of Murakami's "Wind-Up Bird Chronicle".

That game is gross. My daughter and I really enjoyed it.

Jeezus. When I throw them over the cliff, I actually wince. Their sweet little crushed monkey bodies and that sickening crunch--it's enough to put me off my lunch.

But I can't stop playing....

Don't know about the game, but Murakami is the shit. I think my favorite is still Hard-boiled Wonderland, it speaks to that Italo Calvino kinda-science fiction lover in me. Wind-Up Bird is the coup de grace though, it really wraps up his major themes. Good call kaf.

Agreed on Hard-Boiled Wonderland. First one I read and still my fave. I have his new story collection "After the Earthquake" on preorder.

I started with the WUBChronicles, and it remains my favorite. I'm reading A Wild Sheep Chase right now, which is a lot of fun, if less rich.
