September 02, 2002 : Doing My part

TOnight we have 2, count 'em TWO drubk Craddock brothers at the same time...

(ok, this is actaully a cheap ploy to move up the Google ratings...)

But how is everyone else doing this weekend?

Good luck on you both, I say. I've spent the weekend listening to TJ's and my homonym MEC's tremendous mixes. Wow! MarsCrash's double-edged opus deserves pride of place with Lupo's now classic In and Out of Love and TJ's compilation is an unbridled, uncomplexed exercise in great music.

(Mine are going out this week, now that August's over...)

Well, I have you all beat. My sixteen year old daughter got hit by a car. She is fine, but the passenger side window of the driver's car is busted up bad.

Did i mention my daughter was on foot? We are talking major miracle. She and her sis were crossing a major boulevard. And it was drizzling.

Of course the driver was yelling at her for the broken window, without even asking if she was alright. My daughter's sister finally had to tell the woman to shut up-not that it helped.

They gave me the wrong road when they called so I spent 15 frantic minutes looking. the accident actually took place 2 blocks from my house in the other direction.

and finally, my kid gets the ticket because she was basically jaywalking. 100 bucks right there.

As many wonderful quiet streets with sidewalks as we have over here, and they have to cross THAT one.

If I were a drinker, say goodbye to a whole case of Coors.

Chin up, bunnyfire! My daughter Sara got run over when she was seven. Now she's extra-careful. As far as really convincing lessons go, this one seems cheap. Think again about the Coors, though.

Okay, alcohol-free scuppernong wine then.

But I still want a case of it.

all joking aside, I know God was watching out for her. But I am sure her guardian angel has an ulcer by now.

Why not join in and say something too?

A note about posting images:
