Check this out, English Majors!
(gratuitous monkey picture follows)

This one is a more accurate depiction of my college career.
Posted by: jonmc on March 25, 2003 01:56 PMReason #242 that I fear for my well-being in Louisiana:
Our Serial Killer Taskforce has started using TV Psychics.
Does anyone outside of Louisiana even KNOW that we have a serial killer here? Is it even national news?
Five dead so far.
Posted by: ColdChef on March 25, 2003 03:01 PMBy the way, if you look at the map of where the serial killer probably works or hangs out, (number 6 here) I'm smack dab damn in the middle of there.
Posted by: ColdChef on March 25, 2003 03:04 PMColdChef, I've been following this with a great deal of interest. Particularly since the women are all so different. Do they think the girl who went missing/turned up dead from Mardi Gras is one of them?
Is it wrong for me to be so interested?
(Is it wrong for me to have married Richard Ramirez via teleconference?)
Posted by: cowboy_sally on March 25, 2003 03:07 PMIf ColdChef is right smack in the middle, then that pretty much makes him a prime suspect, right? (Note that I am not actually speaking to ColdChef, just in case he's the killer - I don't want to tip him off that I'm onto him)
Posted by: Crash on March 25, 2003 03:13 PMBy the way, if you look at the map of where the serial killer probably works or hangs out, number 6 here) I'm smack dab damn in the middle of there.
You live in a lake, chef? I always had you figured for an amphibian...
Posted by: jonmc on March 25, 2003 03:16 PMI'm literally on the lakefront. My toes are in the water.
I don't know about the Mardi Gras girl, so I guess she hasn't been linked yet.
However, I used to live within two blocks of where two of the women disappeared. (Ten years ago, but still...)
I don't think I could be the killer. I'm too damn lazy.
Posted by: ColdChef on March 25, 2003 03:27 PMHaven't heard of it. I have a feeling that there's quite a big backlog of news since this silly war business started.
Posted by: adampsyche on March 25, 2003 03:34 PMI signed up for a serial killer mail list, so I never miss a hit.
On the English major front, it looks like I've got a little freelance gig lined up doing restaurant reviews for the local alternative weekly. Do ya think I need a pen name and a disguise?
Posted by: tizzie on March 25, 2003 03:38 PMmy investment banker told me everyone in louisiana is a serial killer.
Posted by: qbert on March 25, 2003 03:41 PMMy mother warned me about that "Party for a year or two, then sign up for English. Then you won't have to decide what you want out of life until later, Honey." She always loves to mention what a good-times sorority maniac she was. Then she quietly adds that she graduated with high honors through hard work and dedication.
I chose fine art with a concentration in metalsmithing as a major. I made knives.
Had I chosen English, I'd probably have made more of them.
Cold Chef, we heard about the murders here in Dallas before Mardi gras(think it was a warnig for those going to it), not over the top but was talked about. Maybe he is a Texan, a lot of murders come from here, TX chainsaw, TX Watson who carried out the murders for Manson, even worked with a guy who had the same history teacher as him. Have kin around those part too, since Baton Rouge is where my grandmother was born. I'd be more concerned about the women's safety in the areas near the interstate Hwys. Went through this stuff in Cali, and still left our windows opened at night.
Posted by: Thomcatspike on March 25, 2003 03:47 PMI probably mentioned this once before but, my mom looks a lot like Squeaky Fromme, the Manson girl who later tried to assassinate President Ford. She even had the same haircut back in the 70's.
The connections keep piling up.
Posted by: jonmc on March 25, 2003 04:04 PMMy little sister used to fantasize that she was Patty Hearst, back in the Symbionese Liberation Army days. Ah, good times.
Posted by: tizzie on March 25, 2003 04:10 PMWhat's a "Louisiana"?
Lousi & Ana were married with their offf spring...started a clan...a parting clan at that.
From Tizzy: On the English major front,...local alternative weekly. Do ya think I need a pen name and a disguise? {{{***Congratulations***}}}
Yea, Lousi & Ana. See, Lousy with an i, & Ana give the review, well if Ana gives the review your sure to know it's good food...Lousi gives the review, well what more could be said, short & non-flavoring. This is a gig that would have to rule, folks knew you, so no matter on the job or off, the food would always be free & hopefully top notch.
Ps are drinks include in this gig, if so, you may want use the town drunk's name instead.
I hadn't heard of it either, CC, but then again, I've been avoiding the news with a fervor that I reserve only for very drunk frat boys and clap-infested hussies.
What they need is a catchy name for the killer, something that rolls of the tongue like the "Beltway Snipers". It's all about the branding, after all. Nothing strikes fear into the heart of the public like a well-branded murderer.

The LouisiANIMAL could be fearsome.

Find a tourist to filet
on the Bayooou...."

Posted by: jonmc on March 25, 2003 04:43 PMThe snipers were also from Baton Rouge. No, really. So was the soldier who threw a grenade into a tent full of soldiers.
I hate this place.
Posted by: ColdChef on March 25, 2003 05:25 PMIt's not ColdChef. You will have definite proof it's not him by noon tomorrow. Your days too are not unnumbered.
Great website, btw!
Posted by: The Killer on March 25, 2003 05:30 PMIt ain't coldchef, but it ain't you either, poser.
Hold on, I have to take a call from a "Mr. Simpson," just a sec...
Posted by: The REAL Killer on March 25, 2003 05:43 PMThat picture, how dare her, getting a tattoo of Oscar on her Rt tit, before winning...the gall of movie folks...
Posted by: Thomcatspike on March 25, 2003 06:03 PM
"The poor thing just isn't used to understanding Thom's comments first time round."
Posted by: Miguel on March 25, 2003 06:10 PMThat's right Mig, second time is always funner & hey, I'd rather being playing than writing too:P
Posted by: Thomcatspike on March 25, 2003 06:16 PMsee you folks are too quick, have proof...Just a point of clarification. That's her left tit.
she is holding oscar with her left hand, right to you so I say..left tit;P
To make this clear can you see a purple oscar head which is a shadow on her booby...do I have to spell everything out? as I can't spell.
sure just give me a second...Hows the feathers my weathered Wrens?
Posted by: Thomcatspike on March 25, 2003 06:29 PM
"So this Ana guy, he tells right tit from left tit according to his own perspective!"
Posted by: Miguel on March 25, 2003 06:48 PM
"Sure, it's your left tit, honey - but it's Ana's right. Is that so difficult to accept?"
Posted by: Miguel on March 25, 2003 06:54 PMAna, no matter, left or right, as long they pair...or is that pear as in shape.
Posted by: Thomcatspike on March 25, 2003 06:59 PMHey - 'most recent poo flung by....' is back, and I didn't do it (I though it had been axed on purpose like)!
Administrator has hoped me!
Posted by: stavrosthewonderchicken on March 25, 2003 10:23 PMI don't miss living on the Gulf Coast.
It ain't just Louisiana, coldchef. They caught Ted Bundy in Pensacola years ago.
I worked enough third shift waffle house in that area to have a permanently warped view of human nature.
Posted by: b*nnyf*re on March 25, 2003 10:41 PMhope is the thing with feathers.
celebrities are the things with the HORRIBLE PLASTIC FACES!!!! (caution: not PC, often offensive, and designed like a 1995 geocities page.)
(exploring aforementioned often-offensive site, I find other gems...)
