March 26, 2003 : "No, I'm sorry: that's never the 'Gee Officer Krupke' number from 'West Side Story'"

People have said these things about that :

"Even bearded ladies can't resist a man in uniform."

"Head, shoulders, knees and toes, knees and toes..."

Posted by: Vidiot on March 26, 2003 11:16 PM

See no evil, hear no evil speak no evil.

Posted by: eyeballkid on March 26, 2003 11:27 PM

I am in no was suggesting that caption in context or even suggesting that those gentlemen in turbans, who look to be surrendering to men who have rudely moved into their city, firing guns and making a general mess of things, are at all evil.

Posted by: eyeballkid on March 26, 2003 11:28 PM

"no, no, no, it's 'put your hands on your HIPS and bring your knees in tight!' work with me, people."
then it's the pelvic thrust,
that really drives you insa-ya-ya-ya-ya-yane ...

As an aside: pink turbans? What are they, Islamic preppies?

Posted by: Fes on March 27, 2003 09:42 AM

As another aside: (http://www.monkeyx.com/blogshares/blogs.php?blog=http://www.emptybottle.org/) congrats Stavros for being the #4 "Most Undervalued" on the (http://www.monkeyx.com/blogshares/)Blogshares index. I think that's a good thing.

Posted by: Britain on March 27, 2003 10:06 AM

Yeah, I love it when people undervalue me. I think being undervalued is really underrated.

Posted by: witchstone on March 27, 2003 10:13 AM

From the Blogshares site:

"Special Note: Please don't post a link on the web to the BlogShares Alpha...."

Forgive my being all admin-ish, but I'm going to take off the link and just leave the url. That way the googlebot won't find it and f--- things up for Mr. or Ms. Blogshares.

Posted by: kaf on March 27, 2003 11:29 AM

Posted by: 50 Clams on March 27, 2003 11:40 AM

$220.79? WTF?

Posted by: adampsyche on March 27, 2003 11:50 AM

Obviously, the system places huge value on hockey references.

Posted by: kaf on March 27, 2003 11:53 AM

$310.61 here.

They place an even higher value on Pocky references.

Posted by: jonmc on March 27, 2003 11:56 AM

My blog will soon be begging for change on streetcorners, sleeping in an old toaster-oven.

Posted by: kaf on March 27, 2003 11:59 AM

I'm not even listed. WTF!

Posted by: jpoulos on March 27, 2003 12:10 PM

I have no idea why I am, if it's any consolation John. We can go halves and I'll give you 25 bucks.

Posted by: kaf on March 27, 2003 12:29 PM

If I had shares, what currency would they use... monopoly money...he hehee

Posted by: Thomcatspike on March 27, 2003 12:33 PM

Sorry Unknown Blog
"http://www.peaceblogs.org/"

That, WTFlyingF

If this war doesn't stop I will have over 1000 visits to my blog, way before my one year anniversary. Thanks in part to my LIL Brother. But this was not my goal so soon,{post to find some humor and get it out my system about my bro} but the e-mails I get from folks trying to figure out how to find their Marines is the consolation prize, that the blog is maybe worth while.

Posted by: Thomcatspike on March 27, 2003 12:50 PM

It finds the blogs by checking the ping records at weblogs.com. Peaceblogs.org doesn't do that ping, so it's understandable that it's not listed.

I think that blogfucker.com is messed up in the weblogs system, and I've tried to fix it, but can't figure it out.

Posted by: jpoulos on March 27, 2003 01:07 PM

dope...I forgot your f-er blog, it does not have mine listed, but gave 200+ it could be like...

Posted by: Thomcatspike on March 27, 2003 01:32 PM

Caption: "the 9622.net guard rounds up another linker to the site that shant be linked."

Posted by: ufez on March 27, 2003 02:19 PM

I'm proud that my blog is worthless. Damn right it is!

Posted by: Fes on March 27, 2003 02:50 PM

Thank you for the administrative adjustment, Lupo. I found the link through a link from some other blog who was quite proud of their ranking, so I figured the "please don't post the link" rule had already been shot to hell. But no sense in taking the low road just because others already have...

The military's latest "Macarena or we'll get medieval on your ass" initiative.

Why not join in and say something too?

A note about posting images:

We encourage users to post images, especially those hilarous pics of monkeys wearing dresses or programming for Linux. But posting images that reside on someone else's server is considered by many to be bandwidth theft. Our thoughts on the matter, along with some solutions to the problem, can be found here. Thanks.
