Yes, more carousing and drubkenness in the Big Apple. Me, the Vidiot and Ms. cowboy_sally all hung out painted the town various colors. Alcohol was imbibed, foodstuffs were consumed, wax candles were molested. And of course you were all thought of. Pictures here.
Posted by jonmc at May 17, 2003 09:56 AMAh. There goes my conspiracy theory (kidding, kidding). Nice pics!
Posted by: adampsyche on May 17, 2003 10:56 AMSo...did you guys just "pick-up" Leo and Herbert, or what? And next time, I want primo placement on that napkin!
Posted by: ana on May 17, 2003 12:11 PMI feel the need to address the fact that jon and vidiot picked these men up after I'd already departed the shindig. I have no idea if they were actually *waiting* for me to leave so that they could do this.
I am sad that I left so early and missed out on all the fun. I had my own gastronomic adventures at the Lansky Lounge and then at El Sombrero (home of the take-away grain alcohol magarita) where I engulfed an inordinate quantity of beans, pork, and rellenos. God help us all. Be grateful there are no pictures of that.
Posted by: cowboy_sally on May 17, 2003 12:38 PMAlthough, I hasten to add that the time I did spend with these two gentlemen was delightful, if a bit too brief.
Posted by: cowboy_sally on May 17, 2003 12:39 PM**makes mental note about el somberero margaritas**
Also I seem to have somehow come into posession of a multipak of JapaSnax covered with animated characters. One of whom seems to be a smiling piece of toast. The mind boggles. I just opened and tasted some. It's gummi character heads. Including gummi-toast slice.
Re Leo & herbert: we just stumbled upon them. Can we help it if we're irresistible?
Posted by: jonmc on May 17, 2003 12:57 PMHa ha ha! I love these vicarious bar crawls so much I'd been looking forward to this fix. Apart from the fun and high jinks, it's also a very interesting Manhattan travelogue.
Thanks a lot, jon, sam and sally!
Well, I doubt you'll have to wait long, Miguel. Readymade's visiting in a week, and eyeballkid is visiting two weeks after that. Time enough to find a discounted Lisbon-JFK airfare, I think.
Posted by: Vidiot on May 17, 2003 02:15 PMI agree, Miguel. Those napkin shout-outs are the next best thing to being there... but a bite of that bleu cheese burger would suit me right down to the ground! Mmmmmm, yummmy.
Posted by: tizzie on May 17, 2003 03:26 PMAnd i've gotta ask, a limousine for dogs? This trend has not yet arrived in Kentucky!

Then we must absolutely make plans for a meetup. Can we make EBK bring his CD collection?
Posted by: adampsyche on May 17, 2003 03:53 PMI don't think I'll be around for ready's visit, but I should be there for ebk. We need some confirmation from the kid himself.
Posted by: ana on May 17, 2003 04:52 PMGad! I love those cruises of y'all! And photo's and napkin shoutouts and gang sign throwdowns!
Don't make me miserable showing signs of a Tecate and Tequilla for a fin though! Damn!
I can't believe y'all even left the joint to visit all those other places.
Love the tour every time!
I think y'all should visit Toronto [SARS central] and maybe start visiting other places!
There was a crew in town here that hit the phone book and went each week to each successive restaurant in order starting from AA or maybe AAA?
Restaurants? How quaint eh?
At least we have Pocky also, but names like A Salt and Battery? The 1/2 pounder after the T&T Special? I couldn't, no really, I'll help myself to a Gentleman's Club beer instead. Hah!
Was the next byline on that can ... Piker's Dream? or something? Too funny.
Hey, someone go to Valu Village and get jonmc something other than another plaid shirt!
Posted by: alicesshoe on May 17, 2003 10:50 PMYou guys always look like you're having such fun. :) Cowboy Sally, I love those glasses!
And alas...nobody ever writes my name on napkins...sniffle... (heh)
Posted by: Dejah420 on May 18, 2003 04:57 PMSoon they'll have to bring out a printout!
Get the waitroid to write the names down to prevent carpal tunnel injuries while taking part in the Tecate & Tequilla's!
Posted by: alicesshoe on May 18, 2003 06:49 PM...and if you ever see one of these monkeys, be afraid. Be very afraid.
P.S. Specially the littl'un.

I'd like to request that, at the next meetup, one of the 9622 thundersluts write my name on her ass.
Posted by: jpoulos on May 18, 2003 11:20 PMIn addition to the tattoo of it that I already have there? The one inside the heart?
Posted by: tizzie on May 19, 2003 08:11 AMI just saw this ad over the weekend.
I am once again bowled over by how randomly bad a subway ad can be.
As if his original ad wasn't bad enough, now we get him and his freaky wife (what's the hat all about?) saluting NYC--oh, and on a side note, he can clear up your acne!
Posted by: witchstone on May 19, 2003 09:07 AMIt's a monument to arrogance, vanity and the exploitation of the working class. or something.
Posted by: jpoulos on May 19, 2003 09:35 AMNow that's a swanky tat, my man! (Setting a dangerous precedent, are we?)
Hey alicesshoe, anyone else in Toronto & environs? I don't need much of an excuse to come back to the Old Country at some point, especially if there's a party goin' on.
Posted by: Chico on May 19, 2003 12:19 PMA note about posting images:
We encourage users to post images, especially those hilarous pics of monkeys
wearing dresses or programming for Linux. But posting images that reside on someone
else's server is considered by many to be bandwidth theft. Our thoughts
on the matter, along with some solutions to the problem, can be found
here. Thanks.
