September 26, 2003 : They found Nemo!

Not that funny, but the toilet was worse.

Posted by tizzie at September 26, 2003 09:19 AM

People have said these things about that :

Anybody who knows how to make that picture smaller, please hope me!

Posted by: tizzie on September 26, 2003 09:48 AM

The Ariel & Sebastian wasabi roll is even tastier, I'm told.

Posted by: jonmc on September 26, 2003 10:08 AM

aw, shit. Robert Palmer.

He was too fucking cool. I'll miss him more than Johnny Cash and John Ritter combined.

Posted by: Fes on September 26, 2003 10:12 AM

mmmm, sushi....

Abstain from the Flipper sashimi, though, jonmc. Shit's too rubbery.

Posted by: ufez on September 26, 2003 10:30 AM

[raises hand]
recieved the "found that nemo e-mail" yesterday too - haven't seen the movie, heard it was a hOOt.

Posted by: Thomcatspike on September 26, 2003 11:54 AM

I think I'll abstain. I'm having Babe chops for lunch, anyways.

Posted by: Vidiot on September 26, 2003 12:33 PM

Speaking of things that make you not want to have lunch... I have to hire a caterer for a Big Deal Party here at work, so I have been going around to meet them and see their sample menus, etc.

Today I met this guy and his menu looked good, the samples were good, but ... he had Major Ear Hair. Honest to god, the man looked like he had paint brushes sticking out of his ears! Great tufts of hair like you would not believe. Freaky.

I mean, what can I say?? Obviously he knows it's there, right?? I guess he is making a statement.

*shudder*

As a guy who is finding these hairs lately, please for the love of your fellow man, tell him me. Mine are blond, luckily yet that’s why I miss them. May I add, if you have friends who are shorter than you, do a favor, trim them nose hairs, mmkay.
Tiz good luck with your dilemma, it would have ruined my appetite. Any appetizers on his menu: hair artichoke heart dip, hair pasta & .....

Is there anything more pleasant than an afternoon beer drunk?

Also, RCN is driving me in-fucking-sane. And my alleged best friend won't return my calls. And I'm broke.

But as ray davies says:

Now I'm sitting here,
Sipping at my ice cold beer,
Lazing on a sunny afternoon.

Posted by: jonmc on September 26, 2003 04:01 PM

Ah. So I shouldn't go with RCN when I upgrade to broadband?

Posted by: Vidiot on September 26, 2003 04:44 PM

mmmmmmgrrrrmgrrrrr..mudllefuggle...

Posted by: jonmc on September 26, 2003 04:47 PM

Royal College of Nurses?
Resident Cranky Nutcase?
Riotous Carnival Noises?

I give up.

Posted by: tizzie on September 26, 2003 04:47 PM

If you can make a paint brush out of your ear hair it might be time to trim your ear hair.

*Blech!*

Posted by: Valerie on September 26, 2003 04:56 PM

oh, hell no. In our vanity-obsessed age, deliberate ugliness is a revolutionary act.

Viva Zapata. or some such bullshit.

Posted by: jonmc on September 26, 2003 05:31 PM

Oh har har! Cause like, he's sushi!

Will Robert Palmer be missed? Really?

Posted by: dogmatic on September 26, 2003 05:33 PM

And so two completely unrelated thoughts become one post.

And deliberate ugliness is so in right now, it makes my high school goth buddies ashamed.

Posted by: dogmatic on September 26, 2003 05:35 PM

tizzie, I think Jon's trying to say it stands for Random Crappy 'Net-Access. Cable company in our neighborhood.

And as I said over at Dong's:
I'm just bummed that someone in the MeFi thread thought of the same comment that instantly popped into my head when I heard that Palmer died:

"Did his heart beat in double-time?"

Posted by: Vidiot on September 26, 2003 05:36 PM

I don't know who will be missed more.

Robert Plant or George Plimpton.

*That was sarcasm in case anyone missed that.*

Posted by: Valerie on September 26, 2003 05:59 PM

Double sarcasm, even.

Posted by: Crash on September 26, 2003 06:04 PM

Hmmm. I've been mentally composing a Plimpton obit blog post for the past few minutes, now that you mention it.

Posted by: Vidiot on September 26, 2003 06:05 PM

Here's one for ya'

Robert Palmer's station powers down.

Posted by: Valerie on September 26, 2003 06:09 PM

You know you're getting old when you neglect to trim your bushy eyebrows [and paint brush ear hair], fucking jayzus!

Cooking is about presentation, I ask you, tizzie, ask that caterer if THAT'S presentation!

Maybe like my 101 year old grandmother, who doesn't notice that, either. At least I trim her hair for her.

Great tunage, jonmc. Ray Davies.Ah,
Theres a crack up in the ceiling,
And the kitchen sink is leaking.
Thanks for the reminder.

Posted by: alicesshoe on September 27, 2003 12:38 AM

I have invented an entirely new form of art, in which I actually paint with my ear hair!

Dali paint for you!

I'll remember you all when I'm rich and famous, and maybe even let you share my heroin.

Posted by: stavrosthewonderchicken on September 27, 2003 01:03 AM

Senor Pollo, I will hold you to that promise. It's the best one I've had this morning.

An unusual and melancholy love, filled with yearning and ended perhaps with a strangle....the 9622.net Hallmark card.

Posted by: liam on September 27, 2003 10:49 AM

All together now:

"Awwwww..."

Posted by: Vidiot on September 27, 2003 12:30 PM

The dog is thinking, "Hey, watch those hands, sister. At least sniff my butt and buy me some kibble first...."

Posted by: jonmc on September 27, 2003 12:40 PM

Oddly enough, that perfectly describes last night.

Posted by: Vidiot on September 27, 2003 12:56 PM

*moons*

Posted by: witchstone on September 27, 2003 07:37 PM

Damn. I told myself that I wouldn't do that.

Posted by: witchstone on September 27, 2003 07:38 PM

Guess what? Bars close at two a.m. here.

WHAT.
THE.
FUCK.
SAN DIEGO?

Posted by: witchstone on September 27, 2003 07:40 PM

On the other hand, I am now a blond with big tits and a botoxed forehead. Not to mention the labial surgery.

Posted by: witchstone on September 27, 2003 07:41 PM

I suppose the shadowy moustache has gone too, has it?

Well, I guess it's back to the old photographs, then.

Posted by: Miguel on September 27, 2003 08:18 PM

Well, you needed the tits but your forehead was already just fine.

And I have to plead the fifth on the labia.

{{{{{{{{{{{{{WITCHY}}}}}}}}}}}}}}

I miss ya like crazy, babe!!

Posted by: tizzie on September 27, 2003 09:17 PM

Not to mention the labial surgery.

Didja go bigger or smaller? 'Cause I'll have to make the appropriate modifications to my blow-up companion...

9622.net: Not to mention the labial surgery.

Posted by: stavrosthewonderchicken on September 28, 2003 04:10 AM

Sometimes it seems like all we ever talk about is Witchstone's genitals.

(Miss you, babe.)

Posted by: jpoulos on September 29, 2003 10:37 AM

Witchy, good to see you and your genitals are doing fine.

Why not join in and say something too?
