The fire started in the Egyptian Room

Thankfully, the Cave Rooms and the Hillbilly Suite, where you can sleep in a 1948 Ford pickup truck, were spared.
Posted by tizzie at February 03, 2004 09:31 AMA local landmark, the Wildwood Inn. C'mon now, confess! Who wouldn't want to spend their wedding night in the Cupid Suite?
Posted by: tizzie on February 3, 2004 09:35 AMWedding night, smedding night. That is a palace of Sin! How lovely.
Posted by: towerbrave on February 3, 2004 03:33 PMIs this palace of sin, by any chance, gilded? The ghost of Gram Parsons wants to know.
Posted by: arto on February 4, 2004 05:46 AMi am suffering from irc withdrawal.
so what are all of you up to?
"plz. dude. talk. :[", to put it as it was put to me...
back in the motherfucking day.

which i won't expand upon unless i'm prompted at length.
and probably not even then.
but still.

i'm pretty much reduced to vulgarities at this point, but they're fun.

Posted by: fishfucker on February 5, 2004 05:32 AMThanks, Mr. FF. How is Sacramento?? Has the governor run over you with his Hummvee yet?
Posted by: tizzie on February 5, 2004 04:01 PMEBK, that hotel is fabulous!
God, I thought the Gobbler here in SE Wisconsin was the very limit of tacky and hideous, but the Madonna... the Madonna leaves me speechless.
(p.s. Hi everybody! Why so quiet around here? Geez, I go away for a couple of months and come back to find the place deserted.)
Posted by: aine42 on February 5, 2004 04:49 PMOh my god, this is so scary. If I woke up with that head staring at me, I'd scream bloody murder.
Posted by: tizzie on February 5, 2004 05:17 PMHey, Migs, you wanna weigh in on this one?
And what I want to know is with this room, when it's dark and shadowy, do you suppose it looks like the cherub's come to kill you?
Posted by: aine42 on February 5, 2004 05:26 PM"Dammit, honey, it's that picture of me in my bikini from the swinger's convention! The boy at the PhotoBug musta stole it!"
Posted by: tizzie on February 5, 2004 05:31 PMYou are right, aine, that is an international incident waiting to happen.
[this is fun]
Posted by: tizzie on February 5, 2004 05:34 PMSorry to nerd up your post, but Mr. Kent, your room is ready.
Posted by: steelbuddha on February 5, 2004 05:57 PMEeek, aine!
They seem to have forgotten that Portugal is a small enough country to sue for damages to its reputation!
Posted by: Miguel on February 8, 2004 04:16 PMI wish I had an evil twin. Then I could get her to run my evil errands and wash my evil laundry while I did good deeds. Division of labor and all that. Like, she could look at p0rn while I read up on environmentalism.
Posted by: tizzie on February 9, 2004 05:38 PMWhy should your evil twin have all the fun? I mean, evil laundry... lacy undies, all that hot soapy water...
Posted by: towerbrave on February 9, 2004 06:02 PMI wish I had a good twin. Then I could be evil full-time.
Posted by: Vidiot on February 10, 2004 01:44 AMsacramento is turning out semi-okay.
i've yet to spot the guv'nor, but word has it he is thinking of buying the old reagan mansion down by dead man's curve where I once saw an overturned 18 wheeler.
Posted by: fishfucker on February 10, 2004 04:24 AMBwa!
*leans back in skull-encrusted throne, steeples fingers, sends a brotherly nod to readymade's husband, Evil Chico*
Posted by: Evil Fes! on February 10, 2004 12:39 PMWhy, I'm looking at Evil Chico right now, over bagels and lox and Milo, and I have to say he doesn't seem to be particularly malevolent right now. Perhaps he's hiding his evilness to scare the wee tyke into behaving later on, a tactical move which would be pretty damned clever.
Evil Fes, news on the bun front? Was there delivery of a certain package recently?
Posted by: readymade on February 10, 2004 02:34 PMOh, sorry, readymade, I meant to tell you -- I borrowed the evil for the day. Tough stuff going on at the office. You know how it is. We have an arrangement.
I'll have the little demon-spirit back to your sweetie by sundown, promise.

Evil Bun! is holding steading behind 1 cm worth of dilation, 50% thinning, as of earlier this evening. Could be later tonight, could be this weekend, could be March.
As for me, I'm having an eiskalt gimlet, watching DeBarge's video for "Rhythm of the Night" on BET, and mulling over the concept of having *two* sons to aid me in my nefarious schemes. One, the youngest I assume, will be beautiful and fey and poisonous, like Sting in Dune, while the other, the eldest, will be cruel and barbaric and bloodthirsty, like, uh, that fat guy that was supposed to be Sting's brother in Dune. And I will sit in my skull-encrusted throne, laughing in my fatherly maniacal fashion, like this: "Bwa!"
Posted by: Evil Fes! on February 11, 2004 12:10 AMHoly crap! That's so exciting! Not so long ago I remember those pains... Be very very nice to your wife lest she turn into More Evil Than Fes Wife!
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that your plans of world domination with your crime syndicate family works out. Pictures are requested of the littlest Malvolio.
And Chico, thanks for returning the evil only slightly bruised.
Be very very nice to your wife lest she turn into More Evil Than Fes Wife!
Roses, Lladros sculpture (which she loves), a gold bracelet with Evil Bun!'s name on it engraved in little gold boxes, and a medium-sized diamond pendant :)
Posted by: Fes on February 11, 2004 09:27 AMand, of course, my promise to take the baby Harkonnens out to the hardware store once in a while so she can get a nap.
