I'm calling a Jihad against Tizzie...if she doesn't get her happy ass out to Lebowski Fest 3 and offer us many pictures and a full report. And as soon as I'm fiscally able, I'm definitely ordering one of the new acheiver shirts.
Posted by ufez at April 08, 2004 11:34 AMFor any with concerns, I ordered the shirt from Lebowski Fest 2 and it is of very fine quality.
Posted by: ufez on April 8, 2004 11:36 AMDude! That's great news. I thought they were moving it away from Louisville. I will absolutely go.
And I just bought My Morning Jacket's "It Still Moves." It's wonderful. Can't wait to see them play!
Any of you other monkeys want to join me? Or should ve cut off your Johnson?
Posted by: tizzie on April 8, 2004 12:20 PMMiguel! Did you like your CD? You can tell me, I won't cry.
Posted by: tizzie on April 8, 2004 01:30 PMDig it, cats & kittens, I've been groovin' on this online radio station all day. Killer toonz for youse to froog in yer cube to. And proof that the 60's (both top 40 and underground) were the peak of pop culture).
Great Googly Moogly and a Wang Dang Doodle....
Posted by: jonmc fever on April 8, 2004 02:52 PMHey, NY monkeys. Our weekend plans got really full, really fast, but if any of you feel like grabbing lovely beverages with some Midwesterners, our plans include a stop at Hue on Bleeker & Charles tomorrow (Friday) night. We'll probably be there around 9pm.

(Linky bits don't seem to be workin' for me, so you'll just have to cut and paste.)
Also, might I add, if I were the kind of person who put bumper stickers on her car, I'd want at least one of those Lebowski Fest stickers. They're most excellent.
Posted by: aine42 on April 8, 2004 07:14 PMDamn my expectant wife and Lebowski ruining child to be!
Otherwise, you would find me there.
"I did not know that."
Posted by: ColdChef on April 8, 2004 10:08 PMColdchef! Did you get my email? The fun doesn't have to all be had in NYC, my friend. I'm in the Easy next Wednesday and Thursday night.
"Smokey, this is not Nam, this is bowling. There are rules."
Posted by: Fes on April 8, 2004 11:27 PMExcellent, aine! I'm actually in the neighborhood for a while, so I'll see you-all tonight.
Cool!
Posted by: Chico on April 9, 2004 03:54 PMHey aine42, sorry I won't be able to make it. ('rents are in town.) But have a great time, and remember: Anything Chico says about me is UNTRUE, unless it's tremendously flattering.
Posted by: Vidiot on April 9, 2004 04:15 PMMorning!
I hope you guys had a good night last night. I made a crucial mistake, going to Christopher Street instead of Charles, and by the time I found Hue, well, it was packed.
Also there were eight rooms in the bar, and Uma Thurman kept bugging me for my phone number and WOULDN'T LEAVE ME ALONE.
Go ahead and laugh, but I was out of mace.
Anyway. I'm at adampsyche's now, and we're in the middle of a serious all-day hockey blowout. It's my feeble way to avoid the weekend being a total washout.
Hope the evening went okay.
Posted by: Chico on April 10, 2004 06:17 PMTizzie my sweetest: I am still listening to your CD. I loved it straight away but I still haven't got all the connections.
I say of it what I consider to be the greatest possible compliment (which just means the one I'd most like to get): it's deep and interesting. Maria Joćo loves it too.
I'm sorry (how rude) I haven't reported back yet but you know, with all the Beer Nuts (also cashews!) and Maker's Mark (I'm afraid we had to buy a whole bottle for supplementing purposes), I really haven't had the time.
I hope you go to Heaven here on earth, right now, every single minute of your life, for all the joy you bring your friends! :)
Posted by: Miguel on April 10, 2004 09:54 PMThat is too kind, Miguel! I expect no such thing. It was my pleasure to be able to share a few local treats with my far-away friend. And how could I resist sending the cashews?!? I never knew before that Beer Cashews even existed.
So you see, my dear, it was a learning experience for me! Also, since shipping liquor overseas is illegal, I think it was a federal offense of sorts. And you really can't get enough of those under your belt.
Posted by: tizzie on April 11, 2004 10:57 AMUma Thurman? Yikes, she's ultra-violent. I can understand why you would feel reluctant to give her the brush-off, Chico.
Posted by: tizzie on April 11, 2004 11:00 AMit was a federal offense of sorts. And you really can't get enough of those under your belt.
Ha ha! That really did make me laugh out loud. Tizzie!
*still chuckling comfortably, clicking fingers and just about prepared to slap a knee if the chuckling gets worse*
Posted by: Miguel on April 11, 2004 11:45 PMHey, Chico. Sorry we missed you. We started out in a very visible place, but then moved down into the lounge for refuge. Within about 1/2 hour of moving down there, the crowd had found us. It was insane.
Funny thing: We started out on Christopher St. as well. That's where we were staying.
I'm kind of jealous of the all-day hockey blowout. The only hockey I managed to catch all weekend was about 5 minutes of the Wings game Sunday when we were at the airport.
Posted by: aine42 on April 12, 2004 11:32 AMProject Lebowskifest update!
Ufez, I've got my tickets, room reservation, Kahlua, camera, and a pal to go with me. The jihad will not stand!
Anyone want to join us??
Posted by: tizzie on June 1, 2004 10:19 AMOh, why am I stuck here in New York City, where nothing ever happens?
Posted by: Chico on June 1, 2004 12:38 PM....and Jenny and I will share our room with you. The only bad thing is, that they only had king rooms left, so you'd have to sleep in the same bed with us. Sorry.
Posted by: tizzie on June 1, 2004 12:50 PMRight on, tizzie. You're off the list. I'm down to a paltry 27 jihads now. I need to release the HATE!
Posted by: ufez on June 1, 2004 02:39 PMOh, that's just unfortunate. King-size bed, eh? Hmmm...
It might just be time for me to find out exactly what condition, if any, my condition is actually in.
Posted by: Chico on June 1, 2004 04:52 PMWait, so Tizzie's both "craving sausage" and inviting Chico to share her bed?
Hmmmmm.
Maybe I don't want to head to Louisville. Fifth wheel city.
