August 21, 2004 : Aw Shucks

We have company this weekend.

People have said these things about that :

Six of these little buggers stopping at our house on the "underground railroad" of puppy rescue. They're so damn cute, I just had to show ya.

I am slain, indeed, by cuteness.

I die, I die.

Awwwww.

*pours a 40 of Clamato for kaf*

It's all fun and cuddles until someone pees on the rug and eats your shoe.

Aw, who am I kidding? Look at the adorable little puppy!!!

Posted by: towerbrave on August 22, 2004 12:39 PM

GIMME!

Sheesh, that picture's pretty blurry! But the little stinkers didn't sit very still. We had so much fun watching them tear around the yard. At one point they decided to carry off the sprinkler and eat it. The fact that it was twice their size was completely irrelevant.

Foster parenting is fun because just about the time they start driving you truly insane, off they go to their permanent homes. (Of course I cried when we dropped them off! I talk tough but I'm a total softie.) This bunch will be living with new moms and dads in Rochester, NY.

Not to advertise services or anything, but -- for a small fee, I personally will come over to your house, pee on your rug and eat your shoe.

Unfortunately, I won't do it while looking that cute.

There is no puppy cuter than you, Chico, especially the tail view. Of this fact I am certain.

I want bowling shirts that say that.

Seriously, though. Rochester? What, did they misbehave that badly or something?

Posted by: Chico on August 23, 2004 11:15 AM

I guess people in Rochester love Kentucky puppy refugees. As a snack or a meal.

Somebody was gonna say it.

Hey, man! That really tied the room together!

Seriously, though, Rochester?

Don't be hatin' on Rochester, man. Gennys, the Eastman School of Music has kick-ass concerts, the George Eastman House is an amazing house with a wonderful photography museum, the Water Street Music Hall is a good club, and the Nick Tahou's garbage plate is perfect hangover food.

Not that I'm a civic booster or anything.

It's also really fucking cold there in the wintertime.

I also once shared a hotel shuttle bus with Tommy LaSorda there.

Posted by: Vidiot on August 23, 2004 12:50 PM

and it was dee-licious!

Posted by: jonmc on August 23, 2004 12:59 PM

You forgot the pride of Rochester, Lou Gramm.

Genny Cream Ale is so foamy you can shave with it, and the winters make Buffalo look balmy.

(I knew you'd come by and defend your upstate posse, V. Heh.)

Posted by: Chico on August 23, 2004 01:02 PM

Vidiot, I am frightened by that garbage plate. Seriously. And I'm a pretty brave girl.

Posted by: tizzie on August 23, 2004 01:36 PM

yeah, my aorta is twitching just from looking at the pictures again...

Posted by: Vidiot on August 23, 2004 01:48 PM

eeewwwwww, what a look

Why not join in and say something too?

A note about posting images:

We encourage users to post images, especially those hilarous pics of monkeys wearing dresses or programming for Linux. But posting images that reside on someone else's server is considered by many to be bandwidth theft. Our thoughts on the matter, along with some solutions to the problem, can be found here. Thanks.
