October 21, 2004 : Are Both Candidates Too Old For This Shit?

They both dodder and stutter; take their time; seem always anxious to take their pills. Both are theoretically young but they're staid and set in their ways; wooden and repetitive; comfortable in life; eager to get away from the toil and pressure of being President. Neither of them are the very least hungry - for power or anything else. Their teams consist mainly of even older men. You can easily imagine naps and grumbling; hot chocolate and biscuits; senescent "insouciance"; "Dallas" and "Murphy Brown" reruns - and even indifference. Easily.

Whatever happened to youth? Even the most generous fortyish definition of youth? Does this matter at all?

People have said these things about that :

That is truly the worst picture of Kerry I have ever seen. Posting it may be very good mojo for him!

I'll miss y'all! Almost time for that pre-flight cocktail or three!

where is the Presidents "youth"? It's gone looking at their hair - grays and falls out faster.

Is this a 'poorly veiled references to masturbation' thread now? Aces!

I've been perusing the Pentateuch.

I've been refinnishing the tub with the bathroom door closed. Hardly enough room in there for me with all those rosy pachyderms.

Happy birthday Eyeballkid! And love to all of you, from this island nation where the people are wonderful, the traffic is daunting, the plumbing is primitive, and I am having a wonderful time!!!!!

Why not join in and say something too?

A note about posting images:

We encourage users to post images, especially those hilarous pics of monkeys wearing dresses or programming for Linux. But posting images that reside on someone else's server is considered by many to be bandwidth theft. Our thoughts on the matter, along with some solutions to the problem, can be found here. Thanks.
