HAS THE HUMAN RACE OUTWITTED ITSELF? Discuss.

People have said these things about that :

No.

Right now, for instance, I'm using my amazing mental powers - without any physical connections to you whatsover, mind you - to try to get you to go back to MetaTalk and realize that flaming out in anger is not an appropriate way to sign off, but simply taking some time away from a site can be - or not, depending on whether or not you choose to go back and visit from time to time, and, if you happen to stay for a while, do so.

There! Did you see that thing move? The one on the coffee table. I did that. With my powerful mind.

I don't know about your coffee table, but the walls of my bathroom are bleeding, so STOP IT!

If the Commissioner's amazing mental powers don't work on ya, Crash, I have a few other tricks I can use. *wink*

Posted by: tizzie on February 19, 2005 10:09 PM

Commish, my pal, I am not flaming out in anger. I'm simply realizing that I'm not interested in the direction Matt and Jess are moving the site. And that's OK. They're welcome to it. I have other interests into which I can channel my energies. And that, too, is OK.

Well, okay then. I just worry about things when I see perfectly good bridges - heck, even older, worn-out bridges - being burnt down without a thought of maybe getting to use them once in a while again.

Oh, and sorry about the blood, chef, but this thing isn't all that accurate, to tell the truth.

Posted by: yhbc on February 19, 2005 10:59 PM

That's amazing, yhbc. And I don't even have a coffee table.

Posted by: Vidiot on February 20, 2005 12:18 AM

Wow. I just went over to MetaFilter. That was ugly.

Well, better to burn out than fade away, I guess.

Posted by: ColdChef on February 20, 2005 12:31 AM

Crash, at the risk of being selfish, I hope the other interests of yours that you plan to rechannel your energy towards don't pan out.

Posted by: Slack-a-gogo on February 20, 2005 12:53 AM

No. Much better to simply stop posting and not leave an "I'm leaving!" post. Sorry, I just have never ever ever seen anything good come of them.

at what age did you begin to question whether you had free will or ask what i used to think were silly questions like, 'how am i me and you you?'

Probably around age 9 or so, but I'm peculiar.

I'm too busy texting Christina Aguillera, now that I have her mobile number.

I just asked Usher if his refridgerator is running. He said, "I have caller ID, you moron." I quickly hung up, but I think the caper was blown.

I asked Prince Charles if he had Prince Albert in a can, and he said he did, and I said he'd better let him out, right?

Posted by: tizzie on February 21, 2005 09:35 AM

You should have told Usher you were calling about his refridgerator, not his caller ID. Caller ID will be another prank phone later in the day.

It really saddens me that a bunch of celebrities are going to be inconvenienced over the next few days. I'm sure a good script will come out of it all.

It has when you feel the need to explain your actions.

robotic arm that can be controlled by thought alone.
These will be the perfect bartender at every bar. Any dates to when the tattooed version comes out?

I just had a fascinating phone conversation with Mary-Kate Olsen about the age at which she began to question whether she had free will or asked questions like "how am I me and you you?".

I just drove past an under-construction Mexican restaurant and took particular notice of the sign, b/c after a cursory glance, I thought it read "McNALLY CONSTRUCTION".

It almost did. Instead, it read "McANALLY CONSTRUCTION".

Nothing says quality sheetrock work like meticulously perverse Irishmen. I must go back for photographic evidence.

Speaking of anally, there is a lot of it going around, isn't there?

Posted by: tizzie on February 22, 2005 04:08 PM

Back up. Wait. Back up.

Fes, did Usher call you a moron?

Usher?

Can't even button his own clothes, so he leaves them open Usher?

HAHAHAHAHA! I'm guessing he has no idea what the term means.

Posted by: Chico on February 22, 2005 04:57 PM

Actually, he called me an "...unmuzzled swag-bellied varlot!" but I was paraphrasing.

Posted by: Fes on February 22, 2005 05:15 PM

sounds like ufez has uncovered my secret life.

Dan you. Damn you all.

Why not join in and say something too?

A note about posting images:

We encourage users to post images, especially those hilarous pics of monkeys wearing dresses or programming for Linux.
