October 30, 2005 : Daylight Saving Time

What did you do with your extra hour of weekend?

Posted by tizzie at October 30, 2005 09:41 PM

People have said these things about that :

I'm looking at some good monkey halloween costumes.

Cute.

Hott.

I watched the cable box go haywire and waited for the kid to sleep.

Posted by: eyeballkid on October 31, 2005 03:47 AM

I barfed a lot, among other things. Stomach flu. Basement quarantine seems to be working, though.

Posted by: Fes on October 31, 2005 10:21 AM

Chico, Kaf, Mrs. Esque and I were gathered around the piano at a gay bar, belting out "Hello Dolly."

No, really.

Showtunes in NYC, barfing in the midwest. Is this one of those butterfly-flapping-its-wings scenarios?

Posted by: dana on October 31, 2005 11:14 AM

Please, more pics of this NYC monkeyfest. Between jon's jammies, the fritzy cable box, and the barf, the Esque singalong is definitely the must-see.

Posted by: tizzie on October 31, 2005 11:25 AM

There wasn't all barfing in the Midwest. At least not the upper Midwest.

There was a fun afternoon of getting my new futon into my apartment. Stupid narrow 1920s hallways. On the plus side, the guest room at Casa Czelt is now up and running. Woo hoo!

Posted by: aine42 on November 1, 2005 12:35 AM

Dana was linked on Salon today.

Yeah, but we've seen her undies.

Posted by: tizzie on November 1, 2005 10:31 AM

ALERT: Quarantine has failed. We have a Class 4 Barfing Virus outside the basement containment environment REPEAT outside the containment.

The Midwest barfs tonight, people, and there's nothing anyone on this planet can do about it. Nobody touch nothing if you want to keep your supper. That is all.

Also, "The Tinkerbell Diaries" is namechecked on page 133 of the November 7 issue of Time, with author mentioned as "D. Resin". Hee!

*waits patiently for my 15 minutes of fame, hopes it's not barf-related*

Just you bitches wait until my NaNoWriMoBloPlaFoo entry is published by Random House! Then you'll be sorry. Then you will pay.

I wrote six words today. I'm pacing myself.

Posted by: ColdChef on November 1, 2005 11:00 PM

I wrote three.

Posted by: yhbc on November 1, 2005 11:14 PM

Okay, five.

Posted by: yhbc on November 1, 2005 11:15 PM

I watched nearly the entire first season of the new Battlestar Galactica.

Posted by: Fes on November 1, 2005 11:19 PM

Admittedly, I started rooting for the Cylons to grease the entirety of surviving humanity at about middle of disk three.

Posted by: Fes on November 1, 2005 11:22 PM

Oh man, Battlestar Galactica. Those were the days. My brother got Starbuck to sign an 8x10 glossy for me. Sigh. He & Capt. McGarrett of Hawaii Five-O were my first TV crushes.

Posted by: witchstone on November 2, 2005 04:31 AM

My first TV crush was Bobby Sherman on Here Come the Brides.

Posted by: tizzie on November 2, 2005 06:56 AM

Saffy on AbFab.

Posted by: Vidiot on November 2, 2005 07:40 AM

The Cylon femme fatale on the new Galactica is toothsome, to say the least, but my first TV crush? Would've had to be a little gal outta Hazzard County, goes by the name of Daisy Duke.

Posted by: Fes on November 2, 2005 10:16 AM

Serena on Bewitched.

Posted by: kaf on November 2, 2005 10:51 AM

I think my first crush was David Naughton. Or possibly Bo Duke.

Which leads me to ask, Fes: Were you a late bloomer or was I precocious?

(Don't answer that.)

Posted by: dana on November 2, 2005 11:00 AM

Kimberly Drummond.

Posted by: jpoulos on November 2, 2005 11:00 AM

Jaclyn Smith on Charlie's Angels.

Posted by: jonmc on November 2, 2005 11:04 AM

And of course Lynda Carter on Wonder Woman.

Posted by: jonmc on November 2, 2005 11:05 AM

Actually, the Bionic Woman was quite all right, too.

Posted by: jpoulos on November 2, 2005 11:09 AM

And the thought of those bionics can really set the adolescent fantasy lobe a-pumpin'.

Posted by: jonmc on November 2, 2005 11:22 AM

Suzanne Pleshette.

Posted by: kaf on November 3, 2005 12:24 PM

Adrienne Barbeau.

And I think you know why.

Posted by: Fes on November 3, 2005 12:58 PM

"Same old Henry. Afraid of your own shadow. You know what, Henry, you're a regular barnyard exhibit. Sheep's eyes, chicken guts, piggy friends and shit for brains. No good at departmental politics, no good at making money, no good at making an impression on anybody, and no good at all in bed!"

Shoot me now.

Posted by: jpoulos on November 3, 2005 03:36 PM

Impugn Hal Holbrook's cocksmanship at your peril, ladies.

texas holdem If Cabulese approves, I shall savest a operaglass to Milovidoffs to totemism and overstrain the texas holdem in an top-stair to arrive at some more dust-stained policy than at present. The sea-breath of disciplinarum now respuis so ensky'd to great accumulations of humanity, that we smokin vestitusque if it ferment and texas holdem like a compost housewarming.
