I keep returning to this painting and finding myself more and more disturbed by it. Who painted it? What was he thinking?
Yeah, man. Like, the mural, okay. So it's gonna be like this...wait. Okay. So it's a jungle theme. And, uh, it has these crazy ass animals and they're all like WAAAAAAAH and do you remember the time we saw Grand Funk Railroad at the fairgrounds? Wild, man. I haven't been back there since....But, uh...oh. The mural. So, like, there's these wild-ass monkeys and lions and butterflies and shit. Yeah. Seriously, though, I think it's gonna be awesome. And I'm gonna ask Wayne if I could maybe borrow his airbrush kit but I think he's still pissed at me about the inner tube. Doesn't matter, man, this mural's gonna be tits. Oh shit, I forgot the best part about this mural. THEY HAVE SNO-CONES.
Nah, I wouldn't worry about Bonnie. She'll love it. Living room murals are really hot right now, man.
Posted by: dana on March 28, 2006 05:31 PMThe monkey in this painting is clearly on something. If I were the lion, I wouldn't be so quick to eat the sno-cone.
Posted by: aine42/czeltic girl on March 28, 2006 11:19 PMI think Dana's inner voice played a supporting role in Easy Rider.
Posted by: tizzie on March 29, 2006 09:15 AMJebus...cleanup on aisle 1247. Sorry, I have no idea what went on there, and I tried to delete it with no success.
Um...yeah.
Posted by: ufez on April 3, 2006 12:30 AMThat said, anyone else going to opening day tomorrow?
Lupo's Bosox are going down!
Posted by: ufez on April 3, 2006 01:35 AMDang. Bastardos! I saw the original before they edited it, ufez. I laughed heartily.
Posted by: dana on April 3, 2006 10:54 AMHa, the Cubs are totally kicking the Reds' ass. I'm glad. Having Bush throw out the first pitch probably cursed them for the entire season.
Posted by: tizzie on April 3, 2006 02:43 PMStupid Schilling. To his credit, he pitched a gem. Beautiful day for a game though - 78 degrees and sunny with a slight breeze.
They raised the beer prices an extra .50, though. Asshats.
Posted by: ufez on April 3, 2006 07:43 PMI'm off to a two-day seminar with my boss. Unless I die in my sleep tonight, which would be preferrable.
Posted by: tizzie on April 3, 2006 09:14 PMIf he mentions the "100 mile rule", better get one hand on your goodies, pronto.
Where the hell have you people been, anyway?
Posted by: Fes on April 4, 2006 09:54 AMI just spent about an hour downloading "Weird Al" songs off of iTunes and singing them for my wife. I still remember every word.
I don't want to live.
Someone posting in this thread saw Weird Al in concert. I'm not saying who it was, though.
Posted by: dana on April 5, 2006 11:32 AMWeird Al, Weird Al, Weird Al. It's always Weird Al with you people. What the hell ever happened to Young MC? Ever asked yourself that?
Posted by: bmarkey on April 5, 2006 07:32 PMI once saw Young MC in concert. He was opening for Milli Vanilli.
Seriously, I'm just going to go now. I've shamed myself too much already.
Posted by: ColdChef on April 5, 2006 09:02 PMYoung MC is on this season's Celebrity Fit Club! And he's actually doing pretty well in the challenges, I must say.
And the fact that I know that is almost more shameful than having seen Milli Vanilli in concert.
Posted by: dana on April 5, 2006 10:04 PMNot wanting to bring everybody down or anything, just thought you all should know that whatnot's father lost his fight with mesothelioma this week. Keep her in your thoughts.
Posted by: ColdChef on April 5, 2006 11:28 PMF'ing depressing, that. But whatnot captured the emotions fantastically.
And, I realize it's little solace, but my (sorta) newly adopted little girl beat the heartworms.
Shit. That's all I got.
Posted by: ufez on April 6, 2006 01:21 AMI saw Young MC open for Fine Young Cannibals once at Cameron Indoor Stadium.
And thanks for pointing us that way, Chef. Nicely expressed.
Posted by: Vidiot on April 6, 2006 06:55 AMWhen my first husband said "I don't know why I come home to you when I could have gone to see Milli Vanilli," I knew it was so over.
And yes, whatnot's pictures give me goosebumps.
And I made it back from the seminar. I learned several things, none of them having to do with the seminar's subject matter. One is that if you are ever stuck in Columbus Ohio at lunchtime, walk to the North Market and have some fresh ginger lemonade from the Indian food stand, and you'll feel better.
Posted by: tizzie on April 6, 2006 07:14 AMDude: ZZTop (they played the furry guitars!!) with Jimmy Barnes (Gonna have a good time tonight / Rock'n'roll music gonna play all night)
Also, Boston, when they played the entire Third Stage album start to finish, duplicating the album exactly. We had obstructed view, so I paid probably $25 (a lot, back then) to hear the album and look at the back of an amp.

We encourage users to post images, especially those hilarous pics of monkeys
wearing dresses or programming for Linux. But posting images that reside on someone
