August 18, 2006 : Yeah, but what's his E.R.A.?

Posted by mr_crash_davis at August 18, 2006 03:00 PM

People have said these things about that :

Ayla, a service monkey for the disabled, throws out the first pitch prior to a baseball game between the Boston Red Sox and Detroit Tigers at Fenway Park in Boston, Wednesday evening, Aug. 16, 2006.

They used our brick money to send him to training camp!

[this is good]

_Awesome_.

New baby gorilla at the Cincinnati Zoo.

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.

Posted by: tizzie on August 19, 2006 10:28 PM

The damn brick!

I just sent them an email, inquiring whether it was ever placed at the zoo. I'll let you know what they say.

(Damn dirty apes.)

Posted by: jpoulos on August 21, 2006 01:30 PM

It always comes back to the brick.

Posted by: witchstone on August 21, 2006 01:33 PM

JPo, as long as they used the money for the monkeys, I for one am not sad. Even if they didn't use the money for a brick. Say, if the monkeys really wanted a pizza and a six-pack, and they used our brick money to buy it, that would be OK with me.

But if the keepers of the monkeys used it to hire strippers, then I'd be mad. Unless the monkeys got to watch the strippers, too. Then that would be OK.

So I guess what I'm saying is, relax.

Posted by: tizzie on August 21, 2006 01:39 PM

How can I relax when the RED SOX HAVE LOST FOUR STRAIGHT TO THE YANKEES!!!!!!!111!!

That's what happens when you bring in a ringer with a tail.

(Tonight I'm going to see the Mets v. Cards game. Husband loves Cards. Friend loves Mets. I'm expecting a minimum of two fistfights.)

Posted by: dana on August 22, 2006 09:43 AM

Cards? There's a team called the Cards?

Hmmm. I wonder if they when to hold 'em.

Posted by: witchstone on August 22, 2006 12:22 PM

Usually, they just fold. *rimshot* (Sorry, N!)

Posted by: jpoulos on August 22, 2006 12:56 PM

Cards fan.

Sorry, N!

Posted by: tizzie on August 22, 2006 01:18 PM

You picked a heck of a game there, dana.

Posted by: liam on August 23, 2006 11:54 AM

double play!

Posted by: liam on August 23, 2006 11:58 AM

Just like last night.

It was a GREAT game. No fistfights broke out. Until we got on the 7, that is.

Posted by: dana on August 23, 2006 02:15 PM

I used to ride the skeevy 7 every day to work. Then during my San Diego hiatus, I guess they replaced those craptacular old trains with new ones. The kids these days, they just don't know...

Posted by: witchstone on August 23, 2006 03:17 PM

If I could wish any everyday player onto the Sox, it would be Carlos Beltran.

Posted by: jpoulos on August 23, 2006 03:53 PM

No, I take the 7 train every day and it is still the same old skeezy cars you remember.

Posted by: dana on August 23, 2006 03:59 PM

Speaking of seven, there are less than seven weeks until Tall Stacks. In fact, there are six.

Maybe ColdChef is getting tired of all this family stuff and will come along. Maybe Fes will forgo his career achievements for a day or two. Maybe Crash will leave the Mormons to their own devices. Maybe Chico will set aside his quill. Dana? Lupo? Witchy? Vidiot? Buehler? Buehler?

Hey, a girl can dream.

Posted by: tizzie on August 23, 2006 04:31 PM

I wish I could go, tizzie! Alas, my traveling exploits must be curtailed due to lack of funds.

Posted by: witchstone on August 23, 2006 04:46 PM

I cannot conceive of any reason to go to Cincinnati that doesn't involve extradition.

By the pricking of my thumbs, something wicked this way comes.

Posted by: tizzie on August 24, 2006 10:08 AM

Well, the 'prick' part is right.

Brick Update, from "skott" at Helping Hands:

hi john we haven't actually placed any of the recent bricks we've made as we decide where we are going to actually place them. there needs to be some reconstruction at the Southwick's facility and we're not sure if we're going to stay there or not, in which case, we're moving the bricks we have there and putting the new ones in here, at our facility in Boston. but until that is decided i think we're holding off on placing new one's. if something is decided i'll email you. sorry!
Posted by: jpoulos on August 24, 2006 11:52 AM

They have a strange concept of "recently" over there, apparently.

Posted by: jpoulos on August 24, 2006 11:53 AM

Skott is totally building an addition to his house with those bricks. But if there's any justice in the world (or underworld), he will be haunted the rest of his days by unquiet spirits of monkeys who gave all in the line of duty.

By the pricking of my thumbs, something wicked this way comes.

I played Second Witch in Macbeth last summer and I got to say this line. I loved it! One of the interesting things was that every night I got to observe the "OMG a famous line!" sensation what would sweep through through the audience.

I also got to say "Killing swine." How much does that fucking rock????

Posted by: witchstone on August 25, 2006 01:14 PM

I am in awe of your line-saying bad-ass Second Witch self, dearie.

Posted by: tizzie on August 25, 2006 03:12 PM

You'll always be First Witch to me...

Posted by: jpoulos on August 25, 2006 04:26 PM

This soccer "accident" is such a lame story. Clearly, it was an attempt by a zombie to eat his brain.

Why not join in and say something too?

A note about posting images:
