ColdChef, may the year pass with many happy moments and no nails.
Posted by: tizzie on September 18, 2006 09:48 PMWe missed Dana's on September 5, and CC's on the 13th.
We suck a lot.
So did you get any cool presents?
Posted by: tizzie on September 18, 2006 09:54 PMSwear to god. This is the last birthday I celebrate.
No presents, tons of kids...nobody got drunk except for me.
Now I know why John Belushi and Chris Farley checked out at 33.
Posted by: ColdChef on September 19, 2006 08:36 AMNo presents? Sheeeit. That ain't right. And from your Flickr pages, I gotta say, you all travel with a lot of children.
Clearly, this family takes efforts to re-populate the Gulf Coast seriously.
Posted by: tizzie on September 19, 2006 08:49 AMHey, it's my Jesus year too! I'm 6 months into it and Christ, it does suck.
Posted by: on September 19, 2006 09:24 AMOh, man. I didn't realize we were supposed to celebrate the Jesus year. I completely missed it. (I'll do it next year. I'll just cut off the front half of the "8" and pretend it's a "3")
Happy late b-days, Chef & Dana.
And ColdChef, if it makes you feel any better, I got drunk on your b-day. So it wasn't just you.
Posted by: aine42 on September 19, 2006 12:13 PMDamn cookies gone again. I repeat:
Hey, it's my Jesus Year too! I'm 6 months into and Christ: it does suck.
Posted by: witchstone on September 19, 2006 04:51 PMSomebody get Kafkaesque back in his wheelchair! He's fallen into a pool of his own vomit again.
Posted by: witchstone on September 20, 2006 10:05 AMHoly shit! Kaf, are you going to any of this? I'm going to be in SF that weekend and feel like I just struck a goldmine. (uh, no pun intended)
Posted by: ufez on September 20, 2006 07:19 PMHoly shit is an understatement. That is an amazing lineup. Elvis Costello? Richard Thompson? Wow.

Posted by: tizzie on September 20, 2006 08:08 PMWow. I totally forgot about that. I will certainly try to make it for a few acts. Billy Bragg is great live, and I've never seen Emmylou Harris or Gillian Welch. I will surely buy you several beers if you'd like to meet up.
Posted by: kaf on September 21, 2006 12:55 PMI definetly be down for the Billy Bragg show. It's my first time in SF, and I've only got four days, so I can't spend the whole weekend at the park, thus I'm limiting myself to Elvis Costello Friday, Bragg Saturday, and then a picnic lunch with the SO Sunday during Iris Dement's set to celebrate the end of her conference.
Posted by: ufez on September 21, 2006 05:14 PMA note about posting images:
We encourage users to post images, especially those hilarous pics of monkeys
wearing dresses or programming for Linux. But posting images that reside on someone
else's server is considered by many to be bandwidth theft. Our thoughts
on the matter, along with some solutions to the problem, can be found
here. Thanks.
