Dr. Preston Smith, a Knoxville pediatric urologist and owner of Potty M.D., demonstrates his new interactive potty training product for children called the "Potty Monkey." The plush stuffed animal, with built-in timer that reminds your child to go to the bathroom, comes complete with its own flushing toilet, big monkey underwear and two books

Posted by: Fes on February 6, 2007 09:33 AMOh, hell. Now that song's gonna be stuck in my head all day.
Posted by: aine42/czelticgirl on February 6, 2007 04:29 PMEverybody warm enough? We got the snow here finally - took two hours to make the 15-minute drive back from bailing the homeless people's dog out of the pound.
Anyone want to share suggestions for the netflix queue?
Posted by: tizzie on February 7, 2007 07:09 AMIt's kind of old, but I recently enjoyed the hell out of "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang" with Robert Downey Jr. and Val Kilmer.
Also, you can never go wrong with the original Caddyshack.
Dangerfield (to bartender): "Hey kid, can you make a Blue Shark?"
Bartender: "Can you make a shoe smell?"
guhhhhhollllld, my friends.
Posted by: Fes on February 7, 2007 12:01 PMI'll second Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. Fun film, that.
Errm... can't think of anything else I've seen lately that was good that wasn't a TV series. If you haven't seen it yet, check out Dead Like Me. Highly entertaining. And it's only 2 seasons long, so there's a finite amount of shows to watch.
And Tizzie, we're all over the cold here. I believe I actually said "Oh, wow. It's warm out" the other day. And then I found out it was 5 degrees outside. But hey, temps without a minus in front of them. Hooray!
Posted by: aine42/czeltic girl on February 7, 2007 10:08 PMEll Oh Ell. We've been sunny, breezy and pushing 70 the past few days. Gorgeous.
Movie recs? I finally watched Little Miss Sunshine about two weeks ago and completely fell in love with it, Oscar noms not-withstanding. Great flick.
We also watched Jackass 2, which made the SO literally throw up. Not that that's been a difficult feat lately, but ... shit, I don't know how to end this statement.
We also have Murderball at the house. We'll probably watch it tomorrow night, but I'm very much looking forward to watching it.
Just in case you've not watched them, please do: City of God, Y Tu Mama Tambien, Calexico's live DVD
is insanely good, and just for shits and giggles, the Wallace and Gromit Curse of the WereRabbit movie is fantastic.
OK, please explain:
made the SO literally throw up. Not that that's been a difficult feat lately, but ... shit, I don't know how to end this statement.
Ufez Lassos Stork?
*taps foot impatiently, curses 7 hour time difference*
It's the whole
... shit, I don't know how to end this statement.
that squicks my biscuits. You've got some 'splainin to do once you wake up, homie.
Posted by: romakimmy on February 8, 2007 09:30 AMOh, Hell no. If that stork comes within 500 meters of the house, he's getting a chest full of buckshot.
She's just been a little weak of stomach as of late. There's a scene in Jackass 2 (I know, I know, they're complete mooks, it's a guilty pleasure) where a guy eats some horse poo that made her lose it. The following morning, while I was out attending to some clients, the dog decided to eat a bit of grass and then drink her weight in water. Cleaning up the resulting mess, well, you get the picture.
I'm going to quit now before I have to sleep on the couch...
Posted by: ufez on February 8, 2007 10:23 AMWow, I thought we had a baby monkey on the way! I would have spoiled it absolutely rotten! Perhaps you ought to rethink your buckshot position.
Either that, or I'm going to start sending little outfits for Coya to wear.

Posted by: tizzie on February 9, 2007 01:05 PMCan we get back to the "big monkey underwear" part?
I had a delightful conversation with Czeltic Girl the other day; I'm in Milwaukee, but couldn't get together as I was only in town for about 40 hours (actually, I'm writing this from the 5:40a bus to O'Hare) and family stuff took up all my time. I do wanna come back and visit...maybe when it's above freezing.
Posted by: Vidiot on February 10, 2007 06:51 AMVidiot -- Please do come back when it's warmer. (And really, pretty much any other time you choose will be warmer.) It's too bad we couldn't get together, but it was nice chatting with you for awhile. Again, my condolences to you & your family on your aunt's death.
Posted by: aine42/czeltic girl on February 11, 2007 10:27 PMI went to Milwaukee in July and not only was it aneurism-inducingly hot, aine drove me to about 75 pubs and made me drink in every one of them.
Posted by: Fes on February 19, 2007 03:34 PMonly 75?!
Honestly I'd only make people go to 2 bars and maybe a casino or two... honest!
