February 11, 2007 : Valentine's Day

Good ideas for VDay? Just because we're old and married doesn't mean we have to give up! And you single people .. no excuses!

People have said these things about that :

Of course you do.

I recommend Doin' It.

I am *so* going to start calling the SO my sweet porcelain gnome.

Also, for what it's worth, the reservation we have for sushi and sake and eda mame tomorrow night ...well, I'm just f'ing ecstatic to be in this position compared to where I was this time three years back. Some of y'all helped me through the lowest point of my life, and I'll forever be grateful. Much love to the monkeys, even if many have gone by the wayside.

aw. ain't that sweet. Can I call her SPG too? Hee!

As for V-Day, I have asperations of Doin' It ∞, aided and abetted by my awesome cooking skillz.

Reminder to self: check bed lasts for new cracks.

Aside from your heartache, that's a very funny thread, ufez. Enjoy your sake!

Romakimmy, share your recipe - especially if it rocks the bed.

I got Mr. Tizzie the heart-shaped box of See's candy, his favorite. It's our eighth wedding anniversary today.

For most married people, it's assumed that the number of years you've been together is greater than the number of dogs you own. For us, this is a big deal.

ColdChef sent us a valentine.

Posted by: tizzie on February 14, 2007 03:34 PM

This is the 19th year of wedded bliss for us. The quote from Mrs. Fes: "We're not getting each other anything for Valnetine's Day, right?" Right! Got her a nice card anyways.

Guess what! First Fes broken bone. A "boxer's fracture" on my "fifth metacarpal." No cast needed, partially healed already (I waited ten days before seeing the doc, to affirm my tough guys status), four to six weeks to full capability. Don't hit the bookcase - it can hit back.

ColdChef sent us a valentine.

So'd adam.

I spent Valentine's holding the hair of my best friend, while she violently vomited from waaay too much wine.

I think this may have been my best Valentine's ever.

OK, weird.

As I was clicked the link from tizzie's post to ColdChef's valentine "I will always love you" popped up as the next song in my "all songs on this pc" playlist.

Creepy.

As I was clicked.

Sheesh. I ought to go home now, as I apparently have become brain-dead.

That's Doctor PooFlinger to you, son.

Why not join in and say something too?

A note about posting images:

We encourage users to post images, especially those hilarous pics of monkeys wearing dresses or programming for Linux. But posting images that reside on someone else's server is considered by many to be bandwidth theft. Our thoughts on the matter, along with some solutions to the problem, can be found here. Thanks.
