Is it silly to get a "no speeds" bike? I want an upright bike, and it looks like these beach cruisers are pretty straightforward, but they don't have gears. How important are gears? Would one of these city bikes be a better choice?
Posted by: tizzie on July 16, 2007 12:09 PMWhere will you be riding it? Is it flat? Gears will help take the torture out of climbing hills.
Posted by: jpoulos on July 16, 2007 04:44 PMGet a cheap one at Wal-Mart, so when you give up after the first two rides you won't have wasted much money.
Then take the difference between the expensive one you didn't buy and the cheap one you did, and spend that on beer.
Posted by: Crash on July 17, 2007 03:14 PMI have been looking for a used one for over a year and haven't found one yet that didn't need a ton of work.
Posted by: tizzie on July 17, 2007 08:49 PMHello! I have a question:
Why did you delete my posts about dosug ???
It will probably angry about the lack of a forum, and where free communication ??
Instead of deleting the comment above, I just took out the link to the pr0n site. I find it poetic.
Healozone should have been the name of my high school band.
Posted by: jpoulos on July 18, 2007 10:30 AMThere is no free communication. It is only an illusion, a pigment of your hamagination.

Posted by: Crash on July 19, 2007 10:57 AMI have two pictures of ColdChef's child on my desk at work. I have no pictures of my own children or my nieces on my desk at work.
She's just that cute.
Posted by: tizzie on July 20, 2007 03:21 PMit seems the bastardy has escalated.
Also, I, a fair measure of a goldwaterian republican (albeit not a hardass about it) am somewhat disconcerted by my rather intense attraction to Janeane Garofalo.
This, obviosuly, is a drinking night.
Posted by: Fes on July 22, 2007 12:45 AMI saw Garofalo perform a couple of weeks ago. She was looking fit and finely inked.
Posted by: jpoulos on July 23, 2007 01:53 PMI'm fairly sure Garofalo is a MeFite. I won't say the username, but I made a mildly critical comment about Garofalo online and this other user went ballistic. I checked the user page and the adress was in the East Village and the occupation was 'dog walker.' I've occasionally seen Janeane Garofalo walking her dogs in the east village.
Posted by: jonmc on July 23, 2007 06:03 PMAnd if it didn't work out, I could use a dog walker, anyway.

Hello! I have a question:
Why did you delete my posts about dosug ???
is it becasue I'm an asshat spammer?
Hey, I'm getting a little angry myself now, Mr. Dosug. I'm deleting your posts, and you can kiss my monkey ass. Nyah nyah.
Posted by: tizzie on July 30, 2007 02:17 PMI think I'll just deface any spam entries from now on, it's more fun than deleting them
Posted by: tj on July 31, 2007 02:51 PMAs adampsyche would say, OMG WANT!
My wife uses those. They're cool at first, but after about three months the faces rubbed off. Now they're just monkey shaped rubber key toppers.
Posted by: eyeballkid on August 1, 2007 07:22 PMA note about posting images:
We encourage users to post images, especially those hilarous pics of monkeys
wearing dresses or programming for Linux. But posting images that reside on someone
else's server is considered by many to be bandwidth theft. Our thoughts
on the matter, along with some solutions to the problem, can be found
here. Thanks.
