It's the end of the year, and I want to know what media you've been consuming all year.
I don't feel qualified to call any of these "Best" of 2005 (I didn't read enough or watch enough movies), but they're books, movies and CDs that I enjoyed and recommend.
Books
Our Endangered Values - America's Moral Crisis - Jimmy Carter
The Truth (With Jokes) - Al Franken
The Area of My Expertise - John Hodgman (I've only just started reading this one, but it's hilarious)
Movies
King Kong - All the complaints you've heard (too long, two too many "fight" scenes) are true, but this is still a pretty amazing spectacle.
Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo - (I KID!!!)
The only movies I really watch are from Netflix, and they're never new releases, which is why this list is so short. What should I add to my queue in '06?
CDs
Death Cab for Cutie - Plans
Kanye West - Late Registration I don't listen to a lot of radio, so I managed to avoid getting over-exposed to this disc. Most of the world, I understand, wasn't so lucky.
Kraftwerk - Minimum-Maximum (Live)

The transit strike is just part of my vacation.
On another vacation note, what's everyone doing for the holidays? I'm going to Hawaii for the first time. And spending 8 days with my entire family (15 people and counting). I haven't spent that much time with my family in probably over a decade. Will we all survive intact? Only time will tell.
